I am interested, excited and nervous about New Media because it seems as though it is always changing. It is also changing the way we live, communictae and interact. I am always feeling behind on the learning curve but willing to use new media whenever I can.

I am interested about new media because it is a rapidly expanding medium of information. Ten years ago, television and film were completely different than they are now (No HD, Tevo, Ect.). The art of making movies, incorporates all aspects of art, from set design to story boarding, from sound quality to costume management. Film is easily the most interesting and expressive form of art, for this very reason which also happens to be the reason I love it so very much.

On the plane to Florida, two people in the row ahead of me were reading on Kindles. New media is affecting everyone, from the big newspapers to a person's airplane entertainment. I'm excited to learn more about the way new media is affecting people firsthand in Boston.

Although San Diego is warm and the surfers are cool to watch I have to say that the amount of new media being used out here is crazy. I saw some guy texting while riding his bike and then I watched as some very young kids were walking to school with iphones. My daughter Halsey, almost 4years old, is getting the hang of using an itouch. Not sure how much I like how people seem to be so plugged in- but I think I have had some time away from school to do just that. Unplug! See you monday night!

Err - I hope the bike riding texter didn't crash :)

Can't wait to 'follow' this group, I think you'll do some very interesting work.

It is interesting to see how rapidly technology has expanded our means of communication and the effect New Media has on paper-based industries. I am excited to see in what new ways we will be able to communicate and connect as technology continues to develop over the course of the next ten years.

New tech is paving the way to a more efficient lifestyle, and delving into the way tech affects and will revolutionize modern media is very interesting. In a world where computers are getting smaller, cell phones are getting larger, and ebook readers are making debuts makes me wonder where technology will lead us in the next decade. Film, news, music- everything we enjoy is changing at a rapid pace and I'm excited to get a look at how people are adapting and integrating new technology into their daily lives.
