Music and Business Day 2

Last night we went to the Berklee School of Music to see a performance of musical arrangements organized by students. The show was great, and the performers were all very talented. After the show, at around 10:00 we went back to the hotel and got ready for bed.
This morning we woke at about 7:45 and met up in the hotel lobby to head out. First, we ate breakfast at a local diner, and then we gathered our thoughts and ideas that we would ask the people at Sidehatch Entertainment about. The people there were very friendly, and we learned a lot about promotional and independent effort to support the given artists. After meeting with the employees, we went to the Prudential Center to hang out while waited for our next meeting.
Our next stop was at Berklee School of Music where a New Hampton alumni, Zack Baskin, joined us for lunch and then took us on a tour of the school. We got to see the guitar department and the theory and harmony department. While the school was definitely beautiful and offers many opportunities, one major highlight was definitely meeting Livingston Taylor, the brother of the famous James Taylor.
After this, we headed over to Northeastern to meet with Professor Leon Janikian, who teaches classes on music industry. We had the opportunity to sit in on his class today, but unfortunately we had to leave early to make it back to the hotel. Today was great! We all had fun, and learned a great amount.
